The Home Helper began in Southsea in 2025, founded by Amal — a local mum of two who understood the challenge of keeping a busy family home organised.

That starting point still matters. Home organisation can look effortless in a photograph, but most homes need to accommodate school bags, laundry, work, visitors and the belongings that arrive with every new stage of life. Help has to fit around those realities.

A practical beginning

Amal created The Home Helper to offer tailored decluttering and organisation support. The purpose was to make everyday life more manageable, with care for the person as well as the space. That story, shared on the original Home Helper website, is the foundation of this relaunch.

There is no invented milestone or dramatic transformation behind that idea. It is a straightforward offer: a helping hand when you want to make your home easier to use.

What that means in your home

Start with the place that interrupts your day. Perhaps it is the kitchen cupboard that hides the lunch boxes, or the wardrobe where the clothes you actually wear are hard to reach. The first useful change may be quite small.

A good system has to make sense to the people who use it. Children need somewhere reachable for their everyday things. Adults need arrangements that survive a busy week. Nobody needs a room that only works when it is untouched.

The next chapter

The relaunched website brings family organisation, decluttering and moving support together, with guide packages to make that first conversation easier. You can say what you want help with, choose a possible timeframe and talk through the right scope before booking.

You do not need a finished plan or a perfectly tidy home. A starting point is enough.
